Slimming Strategies

 

 

1. Self Talk. You don’t get what you want. You get what you focus on. So when you say to yourself “I’m too fat” or “I can’t loose weight” your subconscious takes these statements as directives. All self-talk should be positive. I am to be slim and healthy. I do what I set out do. I am strong and determined.
2. Un-block. The subconscious creates a body image to maintain. Your heavy. You’ve been heavy. Then; You’re supposed to be heavy. Other blocks may be “I don’t deserve…. Or a need to big. Or self-protection” In hypnosis we remove these blocks. This insures that the subconscious is not preventing success.
3. Motivate. Often becoming slimmer takes too long and it is difficult to stay motivated. Hypnosis, self talk, but mostly success will ensure you stay motivated.
4. Healthy Eating. A diet is not what you don’t eat. A diet is what you do eat. And we often need help to develop good eating habits. Without step 1 & 2, then step 3 gets harder and step 4 fails. We will do step 1 & 2 and keep working on step 3. With success step 4 is easier to do. This is where we remove emotional ties to food.
5. Metabolism. In hypnosis we will increase your metabolism. As you have reduced your eating to slim down, your sub-conscious has reduced your metabolism to maintain weight. Only mild and general suggestions for exercise till MDs referral.
6. Set Point. Set points are the limits placed on the variation of your weight gain and loss controlled by your sub-conscious mind. In hypnosis we will use your currant weight as the highest set point. When you’ve lost weight and suddenly your appetite is flaming out of control. You can’t not eat. That’s your set point.
7. Future Pacing. Future pacing is a time line therapy to establish set points in the future. This actually uses the sub-conscious to help reduce where it would normally try to maintain or gain weight.
Here is a simple step-by-step plan. If there is not a health issue that is causing your weight problems, then this should get you going to that slimmer and healthier you. When you eat right and exercise right and stay just as heavy, the frustration is palpable. We often call this hitting the wall. When I was a kid I called this being “good for nothing”. Be good for a healthy and lean you. No more trying to lose weight. Naturally eat right and release pounds as your subconscious works for you.
